It's time to roll out the red carpet for our Assistant Principals! It is Assistant Principal Appreciation Week. Let's show our appreciation to our three amazing Assistant Principals who are the unsung heroes of our schools. Thank you for everything you do!
4th grade students in Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Allen’s classes learned how to be safe around electricity. Andy Schaumburg and Jay Eshleman from EIEC presented to all 4th grade classes.
Today is National School Librarian Day. Make sure we all give them a special thanks for everything they do! Without them we wouldn't have our beautiful libraries or endless recommendations of books.
Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Paraprofessionals do a little of everything in our schools. They support classes, are assigned to specific students in special education, help with supporting the general running of the school, and help supervise students.

We would like to recognize these students who have been awarded certificates for their commendable behavior on the bus! These students have shown positive attitudes, adhere to our bus rules and have great consideration for other passengers! This does not go unnoticed!

To prepare for IAR testing, Mrs. Walwer’s 4th grade classes participated in a March Madness themed activity. They practiced a variety of reading skills while trying to earn points for their team. Teams also had to outscore their opponents in the tournament bracket to advance by shooting baskets. Each of her 2 classes had an overall champion (winner of the bracket) and MVP (most points scored on reading questions).
Congratulations to our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll students!
We are looking to add to our team for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Panther Partners organization recently made holiday cards celebrating St. Patrick's day. On Friday, Panther Partners members visited Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living to hand deliver to the residents. High School mentors and their Junior High and Clara Pete mentees also helped in the process of making cards.
To help Mrs. Waugh's class prepare for IAR testing, Mrs. Steiner's class brought some lucky pennies and recited a poem for her class.
The younger grades have been providing encouragement to the older grades for the IAR test this week. Mrs. Kinzinger’s first graders made posters, signs, and notes for Mrs. Walwer's fourth graders. It was so fun!
1st graders at Clara Pete have been learning about animals. They learned about habitats, food, life cycle, and how animals communicate. One animal they closely studied was chickens. They incubated eggs, watched them hatch, and took care of them.
Thank you to Clara Pete PIT Crew for donating a new incubator. 23 chicks were hatched which is a new record for them!
On Wednesday the 6th our Clara Peterson students had the chance to experience a laser light show hosted by Prismatic Magic. They learned about how lasers work and how they can do cool things!
On our last day of Say Something Week on Friday Clara Peterson students were joined during lunch hours by two adults from our community who are considered trusted adults that we can go to when we need help. Officer Brandon Ryan and Paramedic Andy Jones spent time talking with students about their jobs and how they can help students! They also had the opportunity to pass out the good news notes for the week to students who showed exceptional behavior this week. Thank you Mr. Jones and Officer Ryan for all you do for our kids and our community!
School Social Work Week occurs during the first full week of March annually to honor and acknowledge school social workers nationwide for their contributions in supporting students to excel academically. Let's shine a special light on the Social Workers in our schools who are dedicated professionals making a significant difference in our students' lives every day.
Fifth grade students who went bowling this afternoon will return to Clara Peterson at 4:45 p.m.
